Marta Zorko, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb, and a member of WP#4 on Human Rights and Non-Discrimination, participated in the 28th Annual World Convention of the Association for the Study of Nationalities (ASN) held in New York from May 16-18, 2024.

She presented a paper in the panel titled « Minorities and Diasporas in the Balkans and Turkey » with a presentation entitled « An Insight into the Effects of Border Closures on Kin Communities and Minority Groups in Croatia during the COVID-19 Pandemic. »

Her paper examined the negative impacts, particularly potential human rights violations, through the restriction of freedom of movement.
