ECPR General Conference 2025

“How Intergovernmental Interactions Can Shape Citizens’ Political Trust in Times of Crisis: Results from a Survey in Six Countries” was the presentation delivered by Jakob Frateur and his team at the ECPR 2025 General Conference, held at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The paper, co-authored with Peter Bursens and Patricia Popelier, examines the effect of intergovernmental consultation, defined as one level of government consulting another level prior to adopting a crisis mitigation measure, on citizens’ trust in the government level responsible for implementing that measure.
